Railways and level crossings

• Level crossings — the 3D view and the camera previews build each level crossing from OpenStreetMap: rails at the line's gauge, sleepers, ballast and crossing panels, with barriers and flashing road signals where the map lists them.
• Trains — a two-car railbus passes each level crossing every 4 minutes, in alternate directions, at the line's speed limit from OpenStreetMap, up to 120 km/h.
• Crossing cycle — road signals flash 48 s before the train arrives, entry barriers lower from 14 s and exit barriers from 27 s, and all rise 6.5 s after the last axle. Cars and pedestrians wait while the crossing is closed.

RTSP stream

• Camera preview over RTSP — in Studio and Enterprise, a camera preview goes to a recorder or VMS as an RTSP camera, through MediaMTX on the same computer.
• Encoder settings — main and sub stream with resolution, constant or variable bitrate, max. bitrate, H.264 or H.265, profile, I-frame interval and up to 12 fps, as on a camera.
• MediaMTX setup — one command for macOS, Windows or Linux, copied from the panel, downloads and starts MediaMTX.
• Address for the recorder — the panel shows the RTSP address with this computer's IP on the local network, ready to paste into a recorder.
• Frame rate while streaming — the preview renders at 12 fps and the 3D view behind it at 2 fps, at full speed while you turn or zoom it.
• Stream password — the MediaMTX command sets a random 20-character password. The panel shows the login and adds it to the RTSP address, and MediaMTX accepts video only from this website.

Website and languages

• Branded login page — the branding panel sets a sign-up link and its label for your branded login page, whose title and description come from the brand name and sub-line.
• Translations — typography and the IEC 62676-4:2025 standard number corrected in 21 languages.

Detection sensors

• PIR detectors and walls — a PIR detection area ends at walls, interior partitions, buildings, fences and obstacles, like a camera's view; it passes through a doorway and stops at a window.
• PDF, DXF and client portal — the PDF, the CAD PDF, the DXF and the client portal draw the same detection areas as the plan.
• Sensors on floors — a device placed on a floor of the indoor plan keeps that floor: that floor's walls cut its detection area, and it shows on that floor's view and PDF page.
• Beam barriers — the System Validator reports a beam barrier whose beam crosses a building outline, a fence or an interior wall.

Drawing the site

• Vegetation — Draw > Vegetation adds areas of scrub and bushes or tall grass and weeds with height, density and colour; in 3D and the camera previews they hide what stands behind them.
• Ground surface — Draw > Ground surface lays paving, asphalt, concrete, gravel, grass or sand with a colour and laying direction, shown in 3D and the camera previews.
• Look in 3D — a building sets its wall colour and material, roof shape (gable, hip, shed or pyramid), roof height, ridge direction, roof colour and storeys for 3D and the camera previews.
• Utility pole — Obstacles > Yard and storage > Utility pole: single or double, concrete, wood or steel, 0.15 to 0.6 m at the base and up to 25 m tall, in 3D, the camera previews and DXF.
• Sliding gate — a sliding gate can be set closed in 3D and the previews, with its truss shown.

3D view and camera preview

• Daylight exposure — the preview meters the daylight picture and sets its exposure, and an overcast sky shows white, as a camera records it.
• 180° panoramas — a Dahua two-sensor 180° panorama shows its 175 × 78.6° frame in the camera's own projection, stitched into one picture.
• DORI figures — a DORI button in the camera preview header shows or hides the people standing at the DORI distances.
• Coverage — the Coverage button shows the rays from each lens and is off by default; the view on the ground, DORI bands and figures always show.

Planner

• Toolbar — the 3D button stays on the toolbar from a width of 1024 px; at the narrowest widths Undo, Redo and autosave move into the … menu.
• Several cameras at once — with two or more cameras selected, the “Use this…” buttons apply to the selection; Ctrl+A or ⌘+A selects every camera and opens the camera panel.
• FOV outline — Show FOV outline also shows or hides the lens axis and the blind-zone edge, on the plan and in the PDF.

3D view

• 3D on every plan — Free opens the 3D view once a month, Installer once a week, Business once a day, Studio and Enterprise without a limit; a window before the 3D view shows how many are left.
• Traffic and people — cars keep to their lanes, stop at red lights and merge in turn, people walk the pavements and cross on the walk signal, and two sliders set how many of each.
• Roads and junctions — embankments follow the measured terrain, bridges stand on piers over the road below, slip roads join their merge lanes, and traffic lights, crossings and bus stops come from OpenStreetMap.
• Road barriers — guard rails, concrete barriers and noise barriers come from OpenStreetMap, and noise barrier, guard rail and anti-glare screen are new barrier types to draw.
• Forests — the Forest tool draws a wood with its leaf type and canopy height; on paid plans one step finds every mapped forest within 50 km and plants its trees.
• Terrain to 50 km — the 3D view shows terrain out to 50 km, and zoom lenses reach a 0.05° field of view.
• Weather and sunlight — rain rate sets the visibility, the camera preview draws volumetric clouds, and sunlight changes colour with the height of the sun.
• Lamps and power lines — lamps beside expressways have straight arms, two in the central reservation; lattice towers of distribution lines stand 19 m tall where the map gives no height.
• Winter tree — Broadleaf, winter (leafless) is a new tree species.

Camera preview

• Number plates — parked and moving vehicles carry plates exposed by the camera's own settings: at night a plate reader reads them on a dark frame, and an ordinary camera's infrared turns them white.
• Vehicle lights — dipped beams light the road with their cut-off, rear lamps cast red light, and beams show in fog, rain and snow.
• Night exposure — the camera meters its own picture and sets the exposure in thirds of a stop under its infrared or white light.
• Fisheye — a 360° fisheye camera shows the full circular picture its sensor records.
• Fire and smoke — a smoke column with its fire front is a new obstacle, and the thermal channel shows the fire by its size and distance, through the camera's lens and sensitivity.

Masts and long range

• Line of sight over terrain — Studio and Enterprise check what a camera sees over terrain and forest canopy out to 50 km, with a terrain profile in any direction.
• Pole structure — the Mounting panel checks a pole for wind per EN 1991-1-4, gives the embedment depth and proposes guy ropes, drawn on the plan and in 3D; the System Validator says when a pole needs them.

Planner

Enterprise Duo and the pricing page

• Enterprise Duo — the full Enterprise feature set for two people: custom domain, single sign-on, SCIM and the audit log, at 49 EUR a month or 490 EUR a year.

• The building outline decides — a camera inside an outline covers the interior only, a camera outside is blocked by the walls. The same rule on the map, in 3D, in DXF and in PDF.

Single sign-on for Enterprise

Your people sign in through your own identity provider. Verify your domain, connect Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, AD FS or any SAML 2.0 provider, and decide whether passwords still work.

• SAML 2.0 sign-in — connect an identity provider by metadata URL or XML, test it in a new tab before anyone else sees it, and switch it on.
• Domain verification — publish one DNS TXT record to claim a domain. Verified domains are re-checked weekly and the claim drops if the record disappears.
• Sign-in policy — set single sign-on to optional or required. Required stops password sign-in for everyone at your verified domains.
• Accounts created at first sign-in — optional just-in-time provisioning creates the account at the role you pick, if a seat is free.
• Session limits and a reset button — sessions end after twenty-four hours by default, and one button ends every session on the team.
• Moving an existing account, with consent — somebody who already had a personal account at your domain is shown what would move and decides. Nothing is merged silently.

Provisioning from your directory

SCIM 2.0 for users, tested against Microsoft Entra ID and Okta.

• Create, update and deactivate from the directory — your directory manages accounts. Deactivating someone suspends the account and ends their sessions within fifteen minutes.
• Tokens you can rotate — two live tokens at a time, shown once, stored as a hash, one year of validity.

• Audit log with source and outcome — every sign-in policy decision, domain change, connection change and directory write records the actor, the IP, the browser and whether it was refused. Export as CSV.
• Append-only audit — rows can be added and read, never edited or deleted from the app.

Power and fibre at the pole

Plan complete camera-pole infrastructure with power, fibre and equipment in one design. Add pole-mounted enclosures, power supplies, PoE injectors and media converters from the catalog, route the cables, and let CCTVplanner calculate power and fibre budgets automatically.

• Complete pole infrastructure — add a media converter, DC power supply, PoE injector or pole enclosure from the catalog, or place a generic device with editable specifications.
• DIN pole enclosures — build a pole cabinet from DIN modules and place the enclosure directly on the camera pole. Power supplies inside the enclosure can feed the devices and cable runs connected to it.
• Automatic DC power calculations — see current draw for each power supply and output, including voltage drop at the actual supply voltage. Built-in validation checks flag common power-design problems.
• Fibre link budget — calculate the optical budget using transmitter power and receiver sensitivity from the device datasheet. Supports 1310 and 1550 nm, single-mode and multimode fibre, and detects incompatible or incomplete optical connections.
• Detailed cable documentation — DXF and PDF exports now include dedicated DC power distribution and fibre-link tables, with terminals referenced directly in the cable schedule (for example, SW-01:P07 or PSU-01:OUT2).
• Professional CAD output — exports use IEC 60617 symbols where applicable, with device data stored in XDATA for further CAD workflows.
• Better equipment schedules — UPS units, routers and antennas use dedicated DXF blocks, while equipment schedules display catalog device types in 33 languages. Voltage-drop calculations use the actual power consumption defined in the catalog.

3D view

The 3D environment has also received a substantial visual upgrade:

• HD trees and shrubs — 16 tree species and 6 shrub types now use detailed leaf-card models. Adjust height, canopy height, crown diameter and trunk diameter to match the real vegetation.
• More accurate fences and vehicles — corrected rendering of chain-link fences, mesh panels and vehicle glass in both the 3D and POV views.
• Improved POV camera — the camera now correctly restores its position after terrain finishes loading.
• Updated sun simulation controls — the sun simulation panel is now positioned above the view rotation controls for easier access.
• Realistic hedges and lighting fixtures — hedges are now rendered as shaped vegetation volumes rather than flat walls. Lighting fixtures are represented according to their actual type, including street lights, floodlights, wall packs, bollards, in-ground lights and high-bay fixtures. Pole height follows the configured height, and lenses emit light during night simulation.
• DAF XF105 + 40 ft trailer — articulated lorries are now represented by a DAF XF105 tractor with a 40 ft container trailer, fitted to the footprint you draw. The CCTVplanner livery is used by default until a custom colour is selected.
• Pickups are now regular vehicle bodies — place a car and select a pickup body directly. Existing pickup obstacles are automatically converted when opening older projects.
• Transmission lines on realistic pylons — OSM power lines are now displayed on lattice transmission towers, with correctly positioned towers, conductors and earth wires following the insulator geometry.

More accurate camera performance

Camera reach now reflects what the lens and mounting structure can actually deliver. The new correction is optional and can be enabled per project.

• Optics & mount correction — adjust camera reach for real lens contrast and mounting behaviour.
• Mount type on every camera — facade, ceiling, pole, mast or tower, automatically taken from the plan where possible.
• Real mast data — use top deflection, test wind speed and natural frequency directly from the tower datasheet.
• Project site wind — specify the wind speed used for the mast calculation. Without it, the mast contributes no assumed correction.
• Camera wind limit — see the highest site wind at which each camera still meets the recognition requirement, or why no valid limit can be established.
• Real aperture & shutter values — select the widest aperture and slowest shutter from the camera datasheet instead of relying on assumptions.
• Full calculation trace — the camera panel now shows how mast deflection becomes image smear and affects recognition, with every value marked as measured, derived or assumed.

Clearer reporting

• New Optics & Mount report page — shows whether the correction was applied, the site wind used and the resulting wind limit for each camera.
• Coverage stays standards-based — EN 62676-4 coverage zones remain unchanged. Additional physical corrections are reported alongside them rather than being mixed into the standard zones.
