Camera reach now reflects what the lens and mounting structure can actually deliver. The new correction is optional and can be enabled per project.
- Optics & mount correction — adjust camera reach for real lens contrast and mounting behaviour.
- Mount type on every camera — facade, ceiling, pole, mast or tower, automatically taken from the plan where possible.
- Real mast data — use top deflection, test wind speed and natural frequency directly from the tower datasheet.
- Project site wind — specify the wind speed used for the mast calculation. Without it, the mast contributes no assumed correction.
- Camera wind limit — see the highest site wind at which each camera still meets the recognition requirement, or why no valid limit can be established.
- Real aperture & shutter values — select the widest aperture and slowest shutter from the camera datasheet instead of relying on assumptions.
- Full calculation trace — the camera panel now shows how mast deflection becomes image smear and affects recognition, with every value marked as measured, derived or assumed.
Clearer reporting
- New Optics & Mount report page — shows whether the correction was applied, the site wind used and the resulting wind limit for each camera.
- Coverage stays standards-based — EN 62676-4 coverage zones remain unchanged. Additional physical corrections are reported alongside them rather than being mixed into the standard zones.
- More realistic POV preview — mast movement now smears the image along the direction of deflection while keeping the perpendicular axis sharp.
- Better mount validation — facade and ceiling mounts placed away from a building outline are flagged as warnings instead of blocking the project.
Faster site setup with KML/KMZ
Import a Google Earth KML or KMZ and turn its contents into real project objects.
- Import buildings, fences and cameras using their original coordinates.
- Assign a role to each folder and preview the result before importing.
- Use a GroundOverlay as the floor plan underlay, already positioned and scaled from the source file.
- Skip manual two-point calibration when the imported overlay already contains the required positioning data.
