Security Camera Placement: Where to Put CCTV Cameras, Planned Like an Installer

CCTVplanner's AI camera planner places security cameras the way an installer would: a camera that sees faces at every door and number plates at every gate, corner cameras watching each wall along its length, then a relay of cameras along the fence, every position checked by the coverage engine, with whatever the cameras see beyond the plot masked.

CCTV Camera Installation: Plan Height, Tilt and Cables Before You Drill

CCTVplanner, the CCTV planner for installers, plans a CCTV camera installation before anyone drills: what each camera is mounted on and its junction box, the mounting height and tilt with the blind spot underneath, how far it identifies, recognises, observes and detects, the view from the camera in 3D, a recorder, PoE switches and a measured cable to every camera, and a cable schedule plus a page per camera for the installer.

CCTV Network Design: VLANs, IP Plan and Topology from the Site Plan

CCTVplanner is CCTV planning software for installers and security integrators. In this film it plans the network of a dairy farm in Arizona from the site plan, the way a network engineer lays one out, and exports a configuration file for each MikroTik router and switch.

CCTV Quotation in Minutes: From Camera Plan to Signed Quote

CCTVplanner, the CCTV planner for installers, turns your camera plan into a CCTV quotation: import the design priced with your margin, edit any line, send a PDF in your brand with the placement plan and a camera schedule, and let the client accept and sign on a client page. Made for CCTV installers, security integrators and design teams.

CCTV Planner: Branded PDF Reports With Your Own Pages

CCTVplanner, the CCTV planner for installers, turns your design into a client-ready PDF report: pick one of three document styles, put your logo and brand colour on every page, and build your own pages, from a company profile to a design approval sheet with signatures. Made for CCTV installers, security integrators and design teams.

Client Portal Software for Security Installers: Offers Clients Sign

CCTVplanner, the planner for security installers, runs the jobs of a security installation company in one place: every offer with its stage (draft, sent, opened, needs revision, accepted, completed), the client activity (who opened an offer, who commented on which camera, who signed), the month in two numbers (accepted this month, still awaiting the client), and a client page where your client reads the offer in your brand, checks the camera plan and signs with a finger.

CCTVplanner is a CCTV design tool with real-time collaboration: your team opens the same project and edits one security camera plan at the same time, the way you work in a shared document. Made for CCTV installers, security integrators and design teams.

Construction Site Security Cameras: Plan Surveillance Towers From Your Fleet

CCTVplanner, the CCTV planner for security installers, plans construction site security with surveillance towers from your own fleet: put the site's machines, containers and cranes on the plan, pick a tower in stock with its cameras, PIR motion sensors, floodlights and siren, raise the mast, see the site in 3D with your logo on every tower cabinet and the floodlights' reach at night, and keep track of the whole fleet: which tower stands where, which is rented out and which is due back.

Ajax Alarm System Design: Plan an Intruder Alarm Before You Drill

CCTVplanner, the planner for security installers, designs intruder alarms on the floor plan: rooms, doors and windows, then the hub, keypads, PIR detectors, door contacts, glass-break detectors and sirens from the Ajax range (or Texecom, Pyronix, Risco, Honeywell, Bosch and more). Aim each detector and its coverage stops at the walls; open the building in 3D; export an alarm plan PDF with a legend and a schedule of every device.

Real sites, planned from start to finish

A street, an office, a mountain mast, a forest border and Times Square: what the cameras will really see, worked out before anything is installed.

How Far Can a Security Camera Really See? 2MP vs 4K vs Thermal

How far can a security camera really see? We put four cameras on one pole, 5 m up, at the end of a real street in Bolesławiec, Poland, and walked a person away from them: 5, 10, 20, 40, 85, 150 and 210 metres. At every mark CCTVplanner's drop test reads the pixel density on the person and the EN 62676-4 level it reaches, and the camera preview zooms in on the sensor's own pixels.

Security Camera Placement Inside an Office: Floor Plan to 3D

Design interior security cameras the way they will really see: from the architect's floor plan to each camera's picture. A small office in Tempe, Arizona: the floor plan laid on the satellite map and scaled from one known wall, the partitions traced, the doors and windows added, four cameras placed inside, then the building opened in 3D and seen through every camera.

Spotting Wildfire Smoke 13 km Away: Planning Fire Cameras in 3D

Thirteen kilometres from the camera, a thin grey plume rises above the forest. Can a camera on a mountain mast see it, and where should that mast stand?

Thermal vs Night Vision on NATO's Eastern Border

Can a security camera see a person hidden in a forest at night? We modelled a forest section of the Poland-Belarus border, NATO's eastern flank, in CCTVplanner and put a 4K day/night camera and a thermal camera on one mast, both with a 24° field of view. A person stands in the undergrowth 152 m away. By day the silhouette is easy to miss among the leaves; in thermal it is obvious at once. After dusk the day camera's infrared illuminator lights only 80 m. Thermal imaging needs no light: this camera detects a person at more than a kilometre.
