    EZVIZ RTSP URL and ONVIF: path, password and which models support it

    EZVIZ cameras serve RTSP on port 554 at /ch1/main, with the user name admin and the 6-letter verification code from the camera label as the password. ONVIF works on the EZVIZ recorders and cameras listed below, from the firmware shown.

    EZVIZ and ONVIF

    EZVIZ lists ONVIF support for its X5S and X5C recorders, for DVR and NVR kits such as the X4 on the latest firmware, and for the cameras in the table above from the firmware shown. On other EZVIZ models, use the RTSP URL where the camera offers it.

    How to test the EZVIZ RTSP URL

    1. Open VLC, choose Media > Open Network Stream, paste the URL and press Play.
    2. No picture? Try the sub stream. If that plays, the main stream is too heavy for the network or the player.
    3. For the codec, resolution and frame rate the camera actually sends: ffprobe -rtsp_transport tcp "rtsp://…"
    4. Once it plays in VLC, add it to the recorder or VMS by RTSP URL or by ONVIF.

    rtsp://admin:VERIFICATIONCODE@IP:554/ch1/main. Some models use /H.264 instead of /ch1/main.
