FlipX Standard: indoor PIR with rotatable lens — 12 m × 85° wide or 18 m × 5° narrow corridor. FTN "fit" series: compact outdoor PIR (5 m × 1 m or 2 m × 1 m switchable), mounted 0.8-1.2 m, IP55. Both ideal for windows, balconies, sidewalks and narrow corridors.
Beam barriers (TX + RX pair)

Photoelectric twin-beam barriers 20-60 m. AX series is wired (10.5-28 V DC); SL-TNR is battery-operated wireless with 5-year battery life. Two-click placement: transmitter then receiver, line auto-renders.
What the designer gives you
- Drop an Optex sensor onto the map with one click — pattern, range, IP rating, antimasking, mounting height all preconfigured from the datasheet.
- Beam pairs (AX, SL) place in two clicks: TX, then RX. The line of detection auto-renders between them.
- Boundary detectors (BX Shield) render their twin curtains automatically mirrored ±90° from the sensor's "forward" rotation. Designer also supports fence-tension overlay rendering — currently unused by the Optex catalog (no fence-tension SKU yet), reserved for Optex Smart Line / REDSCAN once those datasheets are added.
- BOM CSV ships with manufacturer + model + pattern + qty + power + IP rating, plus alarm cable length total (2-core 0.5 mm²) and UPS sizing that accounts for the detection subsystem.
- Detection patterns render on the same map as your cameras — coverage gaps between PIR and FOV are immediately visible.
- Battery-operated SL-100/200 TNR flagged with a "Battery" badge; contribute zero alarm cable to the BOM.

Is this an official Optex tool?
No. CCTVplanner is an independent design tool that supports the Optex catalog because two paying customers asked for it in the same week. Optex name and SKUs appear as nominative-fair-use — we are not affiliated, sponsored or endorsed by Optex Co., Ltd. or Optex Security Sp. z o.o.
Which Optex models are supported?
All 17 models from the catalog forwarded to us: VX Shield series (VXS-AM, VXS-DAM), HX-40AM (high-mount), QXI-ST (120° wide), VXI-ST (5-step range select), WXI-ST (180° panoramic), FX-360 (true ceiling 360°), CX-702 (wall PIR with switchable wide/long modes), BX Shield (BXS-ST, BXS-AM — boundary), FlipX Standard (rotatable wide/narrow lens), AX-70/130/200 TN (wired beam barriers), SL-100/200 TNR (wireless battery beams), and FTN-ST ("fit" compact outdoor PIR). Pattern, range, mounting height, IP rating and power draw all sourced directly from the manufacturer datasheets we verified on 2026-05-13. Earlier seed data had several misclassifications (FTN was wrongly tagged as fence-tension, CX-702 as ceiling 360°, WXI as dual-tech) — those have been corrected against the live PDFs.
Can I add an Optex model that's not in the catalog?
Email contact@cctvplanner.io with the datasheet (PDF or product-page URL). We add new models in 1-2 business days. Common gaps we will fill on request: REDSCAN laser scanners, FlipX Standard XR / NPS, RX-Core ceiling, Smart Line wireless.
Does the BOM include Optex part numbers?
Yes. The Detection Sensors section of the BOM lists every Optex SKU with quantity, pattern, power draw and IP rating. The CSV export is integrator-ready — drop it into your distributor's quote form.
Do you handle Optex wireless installations differently?
Yes. SL-100/200 TNR are flagged as battery-operated; they contribute zero alarm-cable length to the BOM and the "Battery" badge appears next to the model. Their power draw is recorded in the catalog but excluded from the UPS load calc since they run off internal lithium.
